Tetsu Aizawa joins Nishimura & Asahi

We are pleased to announce that Tetsu Aizawa has joined Nishimura & Asahi as an Of Counsel.

Tetsu Aizawa began his career in 1986 as an assistant judge, and has since handled a wide variety of civil litigation cases. From 2021, he served for three years as Chief Judge of the Civil Division, where he presided over cases in the Tokyo High Court. He also served in the Ministry of Justice for 15 years, during which time he was involved in the revision of the Commercial Code and various other civil laws. As Counselor of the Ministry of Civil Affairs Bureau and Counselor to the Minister's Secretariat, he led the drafting of the Companies Act 2006.

Nishimura & Asahi welcomes Tetsu’s wealth of experience and expertise, which will enable him to provide a wide range of advice to our clients and contribute to the further enhancement and development of the firm’s practice.
